Laser Vaginal Tightening (LVT) is a non-surgical medical procedure which uses the thermal effect of lasers to contract the collagen and reticular fibers of the submucosa or epithelium (vaginal mucosa) and thus decrease the vaginal diameter and length, producing a tightening effect. This effect is called Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation and is achieved without surgery.
The passage of time results in a decrease of collagen and estrogen levels. As a result, the elasticity of the skin and mucous membranes is lost, producing a relaxation which makes cosmetic treatments necessary to improve this condition. Childbirth is another factor that contributes to this loss of elasticity, as the baby passes through the vaginal canal, stretches, elongates and breaks many fibers that cause relaxation. Frequent intercourse is also another factor.

With the use of the “ERBIO: YAG Laser Smooth Pulse”, which provides a caloric-tensor effect on the tissue, the diameter of the vagina can be reduced. This produces an immediate narrowing, which increases friction and consequently maximizes sexual pleasure and also reduces incontinence. It is a simple, outpatient procedure that does not cut tissue, does not cause discomfort during or after treatment, and does not require downtime or recovery. We only advise refraining from intercourse for 3 days, in order to recover natural moisture of the canal, which is a transitory effect of the heating treatment.
The procedure is performed in a gynecological position. A special speculum is placed, into which the hand piece of the laser that will carry the light is introduced through a gold cone refracting 360 degrees, heating the entire surface of the vagina.
